NEPSE Loses 11.6 Points First Day of the Week, Intraday Turnover Declines to Rs. 4.357 Arba - |

The NEPSE index closed at 2,630.01 today after losing 21.48 points from yesterday’s closing. The index had lost 80.29 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,650.54 and made the intraday low at 2,622.32. While it went as high as 2,677.63, it ultimately closed at 2,630.01.

A total of 8,225,822 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 4.008 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday’s turnover of Rs. 5.835 Arba. 228 scrips traded hands via 51,138 transactions.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 61.04 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 617.40 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

Nyadi Hydropower Company Limited (NYADI) and Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) technically gained the most 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker today. Meanwhile, ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) lost 10% and hit the negative circuit breaker.

Only “Hydropower” and “Mutual Fund” gained today, with the latter gaining the highest 0.12%. Of all other sectors that lost, “Hotels And Tourism” lost the highest 2.25%.
