NEPSE Loses Minimal 1.64 Points and Closes at 2,628.37; Intraday Turnover Further Declines


The NEPSE index closed at 2,628.37 today after losing a minimal 1.64 points from yesterday’s closing. The index had lost 21.48 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,630.31 and made the intraday high at 2,647.85. While it went as low as 2,604.43, it ultimately closed at 2,628.37.

A total of 6,447,449 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.089 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday’s turnover of Rs. 4.008 Arba. 225 scrips traded hands via 41,585 transactions.

ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 16.02 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 890 per share. The units of Global IME Samunnat Scheme 1 (GIMES1) traded the most.

Nyadi Hydropower Company Limited (NYADI) and Samling Power Company Limited (SPC) technically gained the most 10% and hit the positive circuit breaker today. Meanwhile, Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS) lost the most 4.77%.

Six sectors gained and seven others closed red.
